Members of the Wellington, Ohio Hamlin Post #219 of The Grand Army of the Republic

This list of GAR soldiers was made possible by Cindy Norton and the Woman's Relief Corp, Hamlin Post #28, an axillary of the Wellington Grand Army of The Republic Post #219. The group had the original roster and generously allowed us to copy and transcribe the information on the roster. We thank them for allowing us to share the information on our website.

The photos that are included on some of the GAR soldier pages are the property of the Spirit of 76 Museum in Wellington. These photos hang on the walls in the stairwell of the museum and were scanned by Al Leiby. We thank the Spirit of 76 Museum and also Al for making the photos available for us to share.

As we find them, We will continually be adding obituaries and newspaper articles about the GAR members. The majority of the obituaries were found at the Herrick Memorial Library in the Wellington Enterprise Microfilm. More articles will be posted from the Lorain County News and other local newspapers.

Each link will take you to a page about the individual member.

The GAR list contains age and occupation. This information is the age and occupation at the time they joined the GAR.
