Enclosed for your use and distribution are transcripts of three probate records. These were transcribed from photocopies of originals obtained by me from Williams County, Ohio. First is the probate record of my ancestor George W. Robinson. Next is the Probate record of his son, my ancestor Thomas P. Robinson. Finally, find the probate record for Rev. Thomas J. Prettyman, for whom George Robinson was an appraiser. I think you will find that these records paint an interesting picture of the culture of Williams County in the early 19th century.
To the extent possible, I have transcribed misspellings and abbreviations as they appear in the handwritten copies. Words that were completely unreadable are noted as (unreadable); words that were not clear are noted as (??word??).
Feel free to post these on your respective web pages or make them available to library patrons. You may refer inquiries to this email address.
Best Regards,
