Kathleen Choi, choj006@hawaii.rr.com, Aug. 23, 2000 - CLARK
Anson CLARK came with Thomas CLARK to LaGrange Co., Indiana. According to The History of LaGrange Co., they were previously residents of Ohio and came "up through the Black Swamp on the Dayton road." That would suggest they either resided or passed through Williams Co. Can anyone tell me anything about these men, particularly Anson CLARK. I have an ancestor by that name who married in LaGrange Co. & then disappeared! Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Aug, 26, 2000 - BALMAN
I am a researcher from Wales, U.K. and wonder if you can help. I have recently found an advertisement (cut from a newspaper) stuck in an old family bible. This is what it says: "Mr. BALMAN, the cutter is fully up with the times in style, and being a skilled workman himself suits never fail to fit. My tailors are masters of the trade and I feel perfectly justified in warranting satisfaction in quality, style and fit. LONGS' BLOCK, BRYAN, Ohio " I know nothing more but assume he married one of my ancestors and they left Devon, England to settle in the U.S.A. at the end of the 19th century. I would be most grateful for any information or help you can supply.
