Can anyone help me find records of my grandmother, Winifred Katherine Cummings, b. 1890 in Bryan, and her parents, Maurice Cummings and Corabelle Raseley Cummings, no birth or marriage dates known?! Supposedly, Maurice Cummings was one of the "Gas House Gang", who brought gas to Toledo. Winifred had a brother, Harold Cummings, b. date unknown. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________
Joan Bray, DBray43217@aol.com, Oct. 9, 2000 - CAMPBELL
My gg grandfather John Campbell was born in Ohio in 1823 according to an 1860 census. He possibly came from a Williams County, OH family. John was a doctor. He married a Charity______ also born in OH. They moved to Huntington County, IN some time before 1850 where their first son was born in that year (Adelbert). They had several more children Araminta (1853), John (1856), Rolla (1859), Charity (1861, my g grandmother) Charity preceded John in death (1861?). John is said to have died in 1866 falling from a boat and drowning. If any of this sounds familiar, would love any further information.____________________________________________________________

Any little clues will be appreciated.

Shelly Cardiel, familia@sprintmail.com, Oct. 21, 2000 - KRABILL
I've "rescued" an old photograph of Florence KRABILL taken at the J.E. Beach Studio in Bryan, Williams County, Ohio. The photograph was likely taken in the early 1900's and Florence appears to be about 15 years of age at the time. I believe this may be Florence L. KRABILL who was born in Wisconsin 16 March 1890 and died in San Diego County California 21 June 1974. Since she was still using this name at the time of her death I'm guessing she may have never married. If you are a member of this KRABILL family or know someone who might be related, please contact me. I'd like to find Florence's family and return the photograph, lovely photos like this one belong with family, deserve to be passed from generation to generation.

Jenifer (Dintaman) Selwa, jselwa@triton.net, Nov. 4, 2000 - HOUSER/BARNHART
1. David HOUSER. Born in 1835 in Holmes County, Ohio? David died in West Unity, Williams, Ohio about 1866, he was 31. On 7 February 1856 when David was 21, he married Susanna BARNHART, in Williams County, Ohio. Born around 1839.
They had the following children
i. Addison B.. Born about December 1856.
ii. Effie Jane (1860-1928)
iii. Lillie May. Born about 1865.
I have obtained a 100+ page guardianship file on Effie Jane and her siblings in Wayne County, for the apparent death of David and/or Susanna in 1866. Effie married Samuel DINTAMAN in 1879 in Wayne County (my 2G grandparents), which is how I found it there. The paperwork refers to a lot that was owned by David in West Unity at the time of his death and was sold. The guardian was Addison, and referenced to a residence in Iowa. Money was dispersed to the children when they reached legal age.

RICHARD S BOSWELL, Rinkitink@PRODIGY.NET, Dec 2, 2000 - RUBEL/RUPLE, COOK/ KOCH Looking for THEOBALD RUBEL and ELIZABETH COOK/KOCH. They resided in Defiance and Williams County. theobald's stone is reported to have the birth year 1838, but I believe this is erroneous. One Theobald Rubel appears in the immmigration lists, aged 47 from Baden, arriving Mar.11, 1867. One source places his marriage probably in Defiance County, but I believe he married in Germany to Elizabeth Koch (Cook), reportedly born in Germany in 1832---an Elizabeth Rubel aged 30 arrives in the US Jun.11, 1867, not sure if she is the same. Theobald died Sept.8, 1867 in Pulaski Twp., Williams Co., OH and all I have for Elizabeth is she died in Williams Co., in 1910. Known children Christopher, Elizabeth (married a William Carpenter), and infant son, Jacob (who also appears as Ruple, died Oct.21, 1914, Williams Co), John, Caroline (born about 1860), and Charles David (born Jan.5, 1870, Bryan, Williams Co. and also appears as Ruple). Charles' family eventually settled in Hillsdale Co., MI, and have been told the RUBLE family in and around Pioneer, OH is related. Any info or leads on this family and descendants appreciated.
