 Attached are the Berry School photo from 1921, although I'm not so sure of the date. "Happy" Griffin was my grandfather and he was born in 1909. Cliff Arquette was born in 1905. That would make them 12 and 16, respectively in the photo. They don't look like it. Regardless, the place is Berry School located at the corner of Township Road 107 and State Route 103 in Tymochtee Twp, Wyandot County, Ohio.
Berry School was located in what is now the Mohawk School District. Cliff's grandmother Clark lived just north of the school on TH 107. The house is now gone, except for the steps and sidewalk that lead to where the house once was. It was burned for practice in the 1990's. He stayed with his grandmother while his parents were on the road in vaudeville. Carey, Ohio claims him, but he was a Mohawk student (or what eventually became Mohawk).

from Fred Merrick: Champion school 1887 was 3 miles north of Upper Sandusky,Ohio; West of Rt53 about 1 mile on County Rd. 44 It later became a Grange Hall. A Man later bought the property and made it into a Home. My relatives in the picture were: Franklin Merrick, Luella Merrick and Sadie Divins [ Brooks ], Teacher
