Note from:
Grafton Pauls, I have recently visited the good hope cem. where my gggrandmother is buried. I have a picture of the stone. I would like to know if you would like a copy for your records. I do not know what her maiden name was am seeking that information. would you have any knowledge of her early life . she was born in Pennsylvania 12 feb 1813 died in Goshen , Hardin county 9 dec 1863. Her husband was Salem Grafton who was born Salem Hough but was indentured to Samuel Grafton in 1812. they married , I believe in Penn. and had one son and a daughter before moving to Ohio, His father died when Salem was 4 yrs. that was the reason for his indenture. any information you may have or an obit on his wife, Hannah, would be greatly appreciated . hoping to hear from you soon. note from
Dick Lodge, Henry and Elizabeth Gisin Detwiler. I found no tombstones for them in that very old cemetery. Henry Detwiler was born in Basel, Germany April 3, 1822 and died February 24, 1911. I have his obituary and his death record says Good Hope Cemetery. Elizabeth was born about 1836 and died August 18, 1891. |
