Notes from Kris: 20 Jan 2002: Ken and I photographed all stones at this cemetery. As per usual for January it was a cold grey day. Difficult to get good photos with no direct sunlight. The winds blew and our fingers about froze. But we would stop on occasion to go back into our vehicle and warm up for a spell. This cemetery is VERY old and in bad shape. Stones are broken, buried, piled up, pushed over and upside down. The ground was frozen solid so attempting to move any stones was not possible to get better photos. The names in listing without photos were probably those frozen upside down that we could not turn over to photograph. We did the best we could. Below are some shots of the cemetery in general. click on any thumbnail to see in full view. I am quite sure vandalism is a chief contributor to the mess found here. Many stones we took more than one photo of!

These are the notes from the Wyandot Tracers book:

Lutheran Cemetery is .1 mile northeast of State Highway 587 and .1 mile east of State Highway 53 in the Village of McCutchenville.  The recordings are from right to left from the State Highway 53 road.  There are many fallen, broken and misplaced stones.  The rows are crooked and hard to discern.  Loose markers may not be in the right location but we have read them "as is."

There is a pile of stones in the middle of the cemetery on the south edge, under a maple tree.  This pile is at the beginning of Row 5.  Most were foot stones; we attempted to read what we could.
