I was visiting your site on the Spring Grove Cemetery. My father is buried there also. And I know that my grandmother and grandfather and ggrandfather is also. I have my dad's Obituary if that would help to prove that he is buried there. I don't think any of them has a stone. But I can give you some dates and of course their names ;

Samuel Marion"Lonis" Redfern B. Jan. 25,1846 in Vinton,Ohio. Died April 30,1936 Carey,Ohio.
He was a prisoner of war at Andersonville in the civil war.

Dau.: Iantha Cordelia Redfern Barrett Born March 7,1879 ,Allensville,Ohio. Died May 22,1966. Buried Spring Grove Cem. Carey, Ohio

Husband: William Burtis Barrett; I haven't found out any information on him but I do know that he is buried here.

Son: John Kennedy Barrett Born Sept. 7,1918 Stryker, Ohio. Died April 3,1985. World War 2 veteran. I have his obituary.

From the weekly Seneca advertiser Sometime in mid august 1897  Tiffin, ohio.
   Under the heading "Adrian", Ohio
"Died, in the home of her parents in Carey on Monday August 9, Amy Etchen wife of Wm. Etchen of this place, (Adrian) Brief Funeral Services were held at the house on Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. Bailey, after which the remains were tenderly laid to rest in Spring Grove Cemetery."          
I did not see her listed but she could have been divorced or Seperated and was buried with her maiden name?

Notes from Gordon Carleton:
I was at this cemetery 7/17/02, looking for the burial site of James A. Bowlby (1831-1913), which I did not find. I have a copy of his death certificate, which says he was buried in Keller Cemetery, which I understand is now Spring Grove. He would also be my great great grandfather (his son Roland married Charlotte Lombard). However, I did find a headstone for O.C. Bowlby (Apr. 19, 1869-Apr. 28, 1926) who I do not see in your listing. I believe this is likely Orville C. Bowlby, son of James A. Bowlby (which would make him my great uncle).

Notes on Bechtel's from Jane Bechtel Fitting; Cincinnati, Ohio,

 *Pearl was the Great-granddaughter of  Amelia BECHTEL, infant of   William "Isaac" BECHTEL & Ellen Elvira "Vira" LILES.  Wm. Isaac, who used  Isaac as his 1st name, was the son of Daniel BECHTEL & 1st wife, Ruth REED.  Daniel was a son of Henry & Amelia (NIGH/ NYE) BECHTEL.  All of Henry & Amelia's children moved away from Carey, most to Shelby Co, IL.; Daniel moved there, had 8 children by his 1st wife Ruth, who died in IL.; Daniel moved back to Carey near his mother & enlisted in the Civil War. His children were kept for a few years by his Mother & her NIGH/ NYE brothers.  

Notes on cemetery from Sharon Copeland:

Spring Grove Cemetery is not a really large cemetery.  I really don't know how to describe the size.  The old stones are in the middle and it is easy to walk to look for stones.  There are three sections around the old section that have the newer stones - after 1900's.  There is no office on the site and when I called a few years ago to the city of Carey they couldn't tell me who had the old interment records, maybe a different clerk would give you a different answer.  Wyandot Tracers, I think, read the cemetery and published the names in one of their cemetery books.
