Rev. J.M. ALBRITTON preached Sunday at the Baptist church. The pastor and Mrs. F.A. REED attended the East Zion association this week at Shawnee.
Word was received that Mr. Robert L. HARRIS, Oklahoma City, died last Friday night at his home in his sleep. His wife tried to awake him but he failed to really. His funeral was held Thursday morning at the Tabernacle Baptist church. Mr. HARRIS was formerly of Luther and barbered several years in the shop of J.F. MOORE.
Mr. and Mrs. Isaac ARMSTRONG are away on a trip.
Mrs. Lucille HURD GAINS, Mrs. Kelley PERKINS and brother were in the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.F. MOORE a few evenings ago.
Mr. and Mrs. FOX of Los Angeles, Calif. are here as the guests of Mrs. Wllen HERROD and family. Mr. FOX is the son of the late Charlie FOX.
Mr. and Mrs. Jewel CELESTINE and children have moved to Dallis.
J.F. MOORE attended the funeral of Mr. R.L. HARR in Oklahoma City.
Mr. Ed BURT died Saturday evening at the home of Mrs. Geneva JOHNSON.

Edward Schmahl of Arcadia Dies
Services for Edward L. SCHMAHL, 77, long time resident of Arcadia,
who died Monday, were held Thursday in Baggerley funeral home in Edmond.
Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery.
Mr. SCHMAHL was born in Missouri, and made the run into Oklahoma in 1889, settling with his parents on a farm near Crescent. Later he moved to Arcadia where he owned and operated a cotton gin from 1915 to 1937.
He then became an oil broked [sic] until retirement in 1957.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Betty S. KAY, Hollywood, Calif., and a sister, Pearl, Arcadia.
