Mrs Sarah Elizabeth WISEMAN LAMB, the wife of J S LAMB, was born December 28th, 1860. Was married to J S LAMB May 23, 1880. Died. on September 2, 1917, after an illness of five months.
There was born to this union five children: C E LAMB, Mrs. Sarah A THOMAS, W R LAMB, Mrs. Ora May BALLEW, and G W LAMB, of Oregon. She professed religion at the age of 14, and joined the South Methodist Church, living a christian life until her death. She suffered, but was a perfect example of patience. She was a kind and affectionate wife and mother. She had the care of orphan children and showed no difference in her treatment of them than her own, and was loved by all who knew her.
She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs Sarah A THOMAS, of Castle. The funeral was conducted by the Nazarene church, after which the body was laid to rest in the Castle cemetery.
The deceased was Noble Grand of the Rebecca lodge, and a highly honored and respected member of that order. She leaves a husband, five children and a host of friends to mourn her loss. "Weep not for me my friends, for I have just begun to live. I have had but a few jewels to adorne Thy shrine, nor any worldly thing or sacrifices to make. But here I bring within my trembling hand this will of mine-a thing that seemeth small. And Thou alone, O Lord, canst understand how, when I yield Thee this, I yield mine all." Rev Cora UPPERMAN

Funeral of J S LAMM held here Wednesday.
J S LAMM, well know at Okemah and in the neighborhood of Castle and Schoolton, died suddenly at Tulare, California, on April 24.
His death was caused by high blood pressure. The body arrived in Okemah Wednesday and the funeral was held at the M E Church, South, religious services being conducted by Rev W E HILL, of Little, Oklahoma.
The funeral was conducted under the auspices of the Schoolton lodge IOOF, of which the deceased was a member. The body was taken from here to Castle for internment. The deceased was the father of Mrs John Thomas, of Okemah. He had lived at Okemah, Castle and Schoolton for a number of years and was highly respected by all who knew him. A short time ago he went to California to spend the winter with relatives. The news of his sudden death was a distinct shock to his relatives and friends here.

FISHER Service Held Thursday
Okemah
--Funeral service for Louis FISHER, 55 year old Baptist Minister who died Wednesday was held yesterday at 4 p.m. at Barnett Cemetery with ___ ___ Haynes officiating. Burial was under direction of Parks Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louis FISHER, four sons; five daughters; one brother William FISHER, Beggs; one sister Mrs. Mariah THOMPKINS, Okemah; 29 grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

Born MO, Mar 4, 1876, died at home in Okemah, Friday, Mar 17, age 91. Married Ora May LAMM, at Arbeka, Seminole Co, Jul 1, 1906. Lived Okemah since 1923. He was: former Okemah police officer, Okfuskee Co deputy sherriff.
Survivors: wife, Ora May, one son, E P(Preston) of Wetumka; 3 daughters, Mrs Ruth MCMULLEN, Mrs Wilma HOOPER,both of Okemah, Mrs Maynee SHAW, Sweeny, TX; 9 grandchildren, 8 grea-grandchildren.
Pallbeareers: John ARMSTRONG, E G BRADLEY, Linnie EASTERLING, Lloyd HENRY, Garvin PECK of Wewoka, Harvey ROBISON.
Honorary pallbearers: V K CHOWNING, B W DESHIELDS, Martin FRERICHS, W E GEORGE, Albet HIRRIEEL, N J PRICE, Ford WALLIS.
Internment Highland Cemetery by Parks Funeral Home.

Frank J. FISHER
Services were held Friday, April 4 at 2 p.m. for Frank J. FISHER at the Welty Full Gospel Chapel with Will C. Gordon officiating.
FISHER
died March 31 in the Creek Nation Community Hospital at the age of 66.
He was born April 28, 1919 in Okemah and lived here all of his life. On March 5, 1947 he married Caroline CHAFFIN in Okemah. He was a member of the Arbeka Indian Baptist Church near Weleetka. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army in Sicily, Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno where he was awarded the Purple Heart and three Bronze Stars.
He is survived by his wife, Caroline FISHER; two daughters; four sons; 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild; four step-grandchildren; his step-mother May FISHER, Okemah; sisters, Alvena, Beulah and Hanna, Okemah, and Maggie, California; brothers Hollis, Barney and John, Okemah, and Dewey, Louisiana, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Interment was in the Welty Cemetery under the direction of the Webb Funeral Home.
