Obituary
On the evening of May 20th, 1921 the Death Angel visited the home of John M. MCCLURE, taking there from his beloved wife, Rebecca M., whose maiden name was WHISENNAND. She was born Dec. 6th, 1849, near Bedford, Ind. Her age at death being 71 years, 5 months and 14 days.
She was married to John M. McCLURE on June 29th, 1871. To this union were born ten children, six boys and four girls. Three boys and one girl preceded their mother in death, leaving three boys and three girls and an aged husband to mourn her loss.
The children who are living are Mrs. Susan CLAY, of Orlando, Oklahoma, Mrs. Lavina FROLLS [FIOLLE], of Thomas, Okla., Aaran[sic] L. McCLURE, of Walthill, Nebr., Oscar A. McCLURE of Watonga, Mrs. Geneva BALL of Britton, Okla., and Curtis McCLURE, of Watonga, all of whom except Aaron were present at the funeral.
She was united with the Baptist church more than 25 years ago in Nebr.; was baptised by John HARN and lived a consistent Christian life, never speaking evil of any one. Funeral services were conducted at her home by Rev. L. C. Woods, of Foss, after which remains were intered in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Watonga. A good woman is gone. She was loved by all who knew her for her kind Christian spirit. She has left a host of friends and relatives to mourn her loss. But we feel that our loss is her eternal gain for she is done with the troubles of life. By J. L.C. WOODS, Foss, Okla.

Obituary - Mrs. Jerry HAVLOVIC of Greenfield died at Watonga on Tuesday morning. She has been an invalid for over three years, suffering greatly much of that time.
She was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.L. ENNEN of Greenfield.
She leaves her husband and five children, the youngest only three years old to mourn the death of a loving wife and mother.
Funeral services were held by Rev. VENABLE on Wednesday afternoon at the Christian church and burial at the Odd Fellow's Cemetery east of town.
Submitter's Note: Etta Margaret "Maggie" ENNEN was born 21 September 1887 at Talmadge, Nebraska. She married Jerry HAVLOVIC (1887-1973) on 29 December 1907 in Blaine County, Oklahoma. Jerry Havlovic was my grandmother's brother.

John Perry WILKINSON,son of John Parsons Wilkinson and Mary Elizabeth Dale Wilkinson, was born at Bethany, Missouri, May 12 1857; died at his home in Hitchcock,Oklahoma, January 26 1924, age 66 years, 8 months, 14 days. At the age of 22 he was united in marriage to Senoria MILLER, to which union was born two sons,E.O.Wilkinson of Jamesport, Mo., and B.O.Wilkinson of Hitchcock, Oklahoma;two daughters, Mrs J.H.(Myrtle)Bieland of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Mrs Frank U.(Mary M.) Loy of Hitchcock Oklahoma, all of whom survive him.
Twenty-four years ago he moved with his family to Blaine county, Oklahoma, where he has since resided. He was a member of the Christian church and lived a devoted christian life.
The deceased leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, two sons, two daughters, four brothers, one sister, most of whom were at his bed side.
Funeral services were conducted in the Hitchcock school auditorium Sunday, January 27. The Hitchcock Odd Fellows lodge, of which the deceased was a charter member, conducted the funeral. Rev. O.B. Irelan, Grand Chaplain of the Odd Fellows for Oklahoma conducted the services.
Music was provided by a male quartet, lead by J.G.Ortner. The remains were taken to Cottonwood cemetery in Hitchcock where they were laid in their last earthly resting place, during the final ceremony of the Odd
Fellows lodge.

J. M. MCCLURE of Route 3, was in Watonga, Friday enroute to Orlando to visit his daughter. Mr. McCLURE says that he has one hundred acres of wheat on his farm and that it is the best prospect for wheat, larger heads, thicker on the ground, than he has ever had before.

A Pioneer Passes
John Mason McClure was born in Illinois Jan. 25, 1854, died near Perry, Okla. June 13, 1924.
He was married to Rebecca M. WHISEMAND [WHISENNAND] June 29, 1871. To this union ten children were born. Mr. MCCLURE was preceded in death by his wife and four children. Six children remain to mourn his departure from this world. Mrs. Susan O'CLAY of Orlando,Okla.; Mrs. Lavina FIOLLE of Thomas, Okla.; Aaron McCLURE of Walthill, Nebr.; Oscar McCLURE of Watonga, Okla.; Mrs. Geneva BALL of Britton, Okla.; and Curtis McCLURE of Watonga, Okla. Mr. McCLURE has been a member of the Baptist church for about 28 years and has lived a Christian life.
He had started to visit his daughter, Mrs. O'CLAY at Orlando, in his car alone. He had lost his way and was found dead a short distance from where his car had slid in a small ditch. The children having missed him began a search and the body was identified by Mr. OCLAY Monday, June 16th. The body was brought to Watonga and laid to rest in the Odd Fellow's cemetery by the side of his wife who died about two years ago. Funeral services were conducted at the grave by Rev. Grover KROHN. OBITUARY John HAVLOVIC was born on May 16, 1850 at Czchoslovakia[sic], departed this life on September 29, 1928 at the age 78 years, 4 months and 13 days.
At the age of 21 he came to America, settling in Freemont [sic], Ohio, where he was united in marriage to Miss Katherine RETT. To this union 10 children were born, 5 sons and 5 daughters. In the year of 1875 he came to Butler County Nebraska with his family, where he homesteaded on a farm. He moved from there in 1885 to Schryler [Schuyler], Nebraska so that his children might secure an education.
They came to Oklahoma in the year 1892, settling near Kingfisher, thus pioneering in both Nebraska and Oklahoma. They came here 27 year ago, settling west of twon [sic] on a farm making this his home until about eight years ago when he moved to Watonga. He was a member of the Masonic order also the Odd Fellow. One son and three daughters preceeded him in death.
There are left to mourn this calling his beloved wife, Mrs. John HAVLOVIC, four sons and two daughters, Fred, Chas. and Jerry of Watonga and John of Lincoln, Nebr., Mrs. Anna MCCLURE of Watonga and Julia KNISLEY of Elk City, Okla., 22 grandchildren, two sisters in Nebraska and one brother and one sister in Czechoslovakia and other relatives and a host of friends and neighbors.
Mr. HAVLOVIC was a kind and loving father, friend and neighbor and will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held at the family residence Monday at 2 P.M. Remains were laid to rest in the family lot in I.O.O.F. Cemetery east of town. Grover F. KROHN officiating.

Obituary
Katherine Rett HAVLOVIC was born on April 18, 1852 at Czechoslovakia and departed this life on August 3, 1929 at the age of 77 years, 3 months and 15 days.
At the age of 18 to America. After a short stay in New York state she settled in Freemont, Ohio where she met and married John HAVLOVIC. To this union 10 children were born, 5 sons and 5 daughters. She came to Butler county Nebraska in the year 1875 where they homesteaded a farm.
In 1885 they moved to Schryler[Schuyler] Nebraska their children. The family came to Oklahoma in 1892 settling near Kingfisher, thus pioneering in both Nebraska and Oklahoma. About 28 years ago she came to Blaine County and has made her home in or near here ever since.
There left to mourn this calling four sons and two daughters, Fred, Chas. and Jerry of Watonga, John of Lincoln Nebraska, Mrs. Anna MCCLURE of Watonga and Julia KINSLEY of Elk City, 22 grand children, and two great grand children and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anna McCLURE on August 5th at 3:30 p.m. Remains were laid to rest in the family lot in I.O.O.F. cemetery east of town. Grover F. KROHN officiating.
Mrs. HAVLOVIC had ben [sic] despondent ever since the death of her husband last September. She could not rally from the separation from him. Together they had lived for more than half a century devoted to each other. Since his going she frequently had said that she had nothing to live for. Her sons and daughters and grandchildren were all devoted to her but she mourned for her husband and did not want to live without him. .........

Riley Perry LOY
Riley P. Loy died Saturday March 8,1980, in Watonga Oklahoma, at age 68. Funeral services on Monday March 10, at Watonga's First United Methodist Church.
Born at Hitchcock on June 16 1911, to Frank U. and Mary M. Wilkinson Loy, he married Sarah Blevins SIMS. She preceded him in death. He married Zella Tickel WOLDRIDGE in Watonga on Dec. 12, 1973.
Survivors include his wife; four step-sons, and a step- daughter, Eleven step-grandchildren and a brother Harold Frank Loy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Lelia Lenoria Loy Sims, and a brother John Merle Loy. Mr. Loy was buried in the IOOf Cemetery Watonga, Oklahoma.
