Cosper; Cole
I would like some info on a George Henry Cosper, around Eakly or Colony. I've searched for Alfalfa Cemetery, but I can't find it. I am also searching for the grave of Joseph Berry Marke Cosper and Sarah A. Cole Cosper. He died in Mountain View, OK. There's no record of her death. I think he was born on 28 Feb 1843 and died Jan 1918 in Mtn View, OK.

Webb; Price, Noble, Allen, Welch, Clay, Hix, McVey, Althizer, Blevins, Hicks, Glass, Simms
If your surname appears in relation to Caddo County, Okla. above we probably have a family tie! All these surnames are decendents of Jeremiah "Jerry" Webb and Amanda Jane Price who were married abt. 1860 in Davies Co., Missouri. Amanda Price was my GGgrandfathers sister, they were both from Ky. Have quite a bit of info on most of these surnames, would gladly share.

Courtney; DeCourtney, Williams
My g-grandmother, Emory Ann Courtney (b1859) was born "near old Fort Cobb". Her mother was Mary Ann WILLIAMS (b1924 AK) and father, Henry C. DeCourtney (b1926 VA), who, according to pension records, worked as a government contractor. One of their children was killed by Comanches outside of the fort. The boy's name was most likely Joseph Alexander Courtney (b1854). Are there any records of Fort Cobb or any others that may have a record of this? I do not know the date, but quess it was around 1860 or a little later.

Engelhardt
I am searching for the name of the Indian female who married Fred Engelhardt in Caddo county in abt 1917-1919. She supposedly died during childbirth in Caddo County. He is listed on the 1920 Garvin Co. census as a widower. His parents have the child who is also named Fred, as is the Grandfather. They are listed in the Caddo Co. census in Abilene Twp. in 1920. I don't have a clue as to the name of the female I am looking for. I do know that one of these Fred's was in a nursing home in Apache until the early 1990's. I am doing this research for my two grandchildren, Cody and Autumn Engelhardt. Their father was Adrian Joseph Engelhardt, his father was Fred, and his father was the Fred who was orphaned in 1919. I hope this isn't too confusing with all these Freds.

He was born in Ohio and came to Oklahoma with his family: Thomas Jefferson Reed and Martha E. Smith Reed. He was born in 1882. Died in a hunting accident. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Blythe; Blyeth
I'm looking for info on the Blythe family. They lived in Caddo Co. from the mid 1930's to at least 1962. Arthur Blythe is listed in his sister's obit in 1962 as living in Anadarko. He would have been in is mid 70's at that time. There is a baby buried in the Spring Creek Cem. that is listed as being the son of Carl and Willa Blythe. Arthur had a son Carl. Arthur was originally from Marion Co., Arkansas. He was also in Latimer Co., OK from 1918 (draft registration) to 1920 (census), and Pittsburg Co., in 1927 (father's obit) Some of the Blythe family spell their name Blyeth.

Alexander; Long, Schrameck
I'm looking for the parents and siblings of Frank Alexander. He was married to Vivian Long and they had a son, Neil Robert b. 1914 d. 1971. They lived in Lookeba, Caddo County, Oklahoma. Vivian remarried William Schrameck and they had a farm in Lookeba for many decades. William died in 1970 and Vivian moved to Hinton, and she passed away in 1990. Five of my children and four of my grandchildren would benefit greatly by having the history and the family line of their great-grandfather. There had been a little book on the history of Lookeba that I got to see on a visit in the mid 1960's, and if that little book is still available, I would like to find out more about it.

Searching for info on Robert Marion Ridley, b 26 Jan 1857 in Oxford, MS, married Martha Jane Bird, b 23 Mar 1885 in Anadarko, OK. Their children were born in Caddo and Garvin County. Both Robert and Martha died in Anadarko in 1927 and 1946. One of their daughters, Ruth Rosevelt, was born 11 Nov 1904 in Paul's Valley, and married Roy Finley Yarnall. They lived in Anadarko where their four children were born, Leroy, Betty Ruth, Dean and Thomas.

Woodiwiss; King
The census of 1910 shows my grandfather, Frank Woodiwiss, boarding with the family of Jackson and Myrtle King in Delaware Twp., Caddo County. They had two sons at the time, Harry M. and Glen. Can anyone tell me more about this family? What kind of farm did they have? Was my grandfather just a hired hand or was there a deeper connection?

Gifford
I'm looking for information on the family of Ulysses Grant Gifford, during the years he was in Oklahoma. He was born in Jasper Co., Il, married in Collin Co., Texas. His son, Elbert Sherman Gifford, always told us he was born in Caddo County Oklahoma, but no record has ever been found. I can't even find ulysses on the 1900 census in any county in OK. I did find his older brother, James B. Gifford in Washita County in 1900. After about 1910 the family moved to San Bernardino County CA, where he died. I can't verify the births of any of his children, who were all born in OK or NM.
