Illness is Fatal to Mrs. Brown
Mrs. Mary M. Brown, 516 North Choctaw, died at her home Thursday night
following a five months illness.

Mrs. Brown, born March 25, 1885, in Czechoslovakia, moved to Kansas in 1887 and
came to Oklahoma in 1890, living near Britton and Bethany until she came to
Canadian county in 1931. She made her home northwest of El Reno until 1945,
when she moved to Tuttle. She returned to El Reno in May this year.


She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic church, the Rebekah lodge, and was a
charter member and past president of the Reno Valley home demonstration club.
Survivors include her husband, E. B. Brown, of the home; six daughters, Mrs.
Frank Henderson, 1200 West London, Mrs. Kenneth Goodman, Yukon Route 1; Mrs.Ralph Royse, Jr., El Reno Route 3, Mrs. Leroy T. Clark, Fort Worth, Tex., Mrs.
Gerald Thompson, 802 South Williams, and Mrs. Vincent C. Lederer, St. Louis,
Mo.; a son, Ray Brown, Bethany; a sister, Mrs. Harry Holloway, Oklahoma City;
two brothers, Tobe Bednar, of Edmond Route 1, and James Bednar, Bethany; 13
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart
Catholic church with Faather Charles Meiser, assistant pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the El Reno Catholic Cemetery under the direction of the
Wilson Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday in the Wilson
Funeral Home.
