REQUEST FOR RESEARCH

Our society is a non-profit organization formed in 1976, relying on membership dues of $10.00 per year and research money to operate and for this reason, we are unable to provide free research. Members will do research for $10.00 an hour, with a one hour minimum, plus Postage and cost of copies. The monies made from these request are used to purchase more microfilms and materials for the Archives Room housed at the El Reno Carnegie Library.

Volunteers work in the Archives Room on Wed. afternoons from 1:00 to 3:00 to help with research. Monthly Meetings and Genealogy Program are held on the 2nd Wed. of each month, except July & August, at 2:00 p.m. El Reno Carnegie Library. VISITORS WELCOME

Our collection of county history and genealogical material is housed in the El Reno Carnegie Library Archives Room at 215 East Wade, El Reno, Oklahoma. Also copies of our quarterly, Canadian County Connections from 1976 to 1987, which we have discontinued publishing. Materials in the Archives room do not circulate to local patrons or libraries.

Two Microfilm/Microfiche readers with printer and Copy Machine are  available for use.

County Death and Birth records are not kept at our Courthouse. These records can be obtained by writing to:
