Charles Franklin Avery, 88, of Kellyville, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 1995 at his home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Jim Peek, Don Barefoot and Millard McGuire officiating. Burial will be in Bristow City Cemetery, directed by Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Avery was born Nov. 14, 1907 in Rodeo, AZ. He traveled to Oklahoma in a covered wagon. He retired in 1972 from Washington School in Sapulpa.

He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Franklin “Bobby” Avery.

Survivors include his wife, Iness, of the home; a son, Charles Leon Avery of Kellyville; two daughters, Cloma Lee Avery of Independence, KS, and Jane Ann Taylor of Sapulpa; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
