Lorene Jo Birdsong, 75, Rt. 2, Mannford, died Wednesday in Sapulpa.

Memorial services are planned for Friday at 10 am at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Sapulpa. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 am at the Mannford Friendship Community Church with the Rev. Gene Varnell officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Mannford under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Birdsong was a member of Eastern Star, Ladies Missionary group and active in the affairs at Mannford Friendship Community Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer F. Birdsong, parents Mannford pioneers Joseph Steele and Julia Callahan, one granddaughter and one brother-in-law.

Survivors include children Roy J. Brashears of Tulsa, Sharon K. Moody and Evelyn Delores Haught, both of Sapulpa, one son-in-law and one daughter-in-law; sisters Elnora Anderson of Mannford and Beatrice Lee of Bartlesville; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Casket bearers are to be Aaron Brashears, Erik Brashears, Jesse McKenzie, John Black, Jim Haught and Toby Thomas.

Services for Lorene Jo Birdsong were held at 10 am Saturday, at the Mannford Friendship Community Church.

Officiating was the Rev. Gene Varnell and Smith Funeral Home was in charge of services. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Mannford.

Casket bearers were Aaron Brashears, Erik Brashears, Jesse McKenzie, John Boack, Jim Haught and Toby Haught.
