John Clifton "Slim" Bowers, 92, 726 S. Cedar, died Friday at Pleasant Manor Nursing Center. 

Services are scheduled for 2 pm Tuesday at the Kellyville Free Holiness Church in Kellyville with the Rev. Archie Rivers officiating. 

Burial will be at the Kellyville Cemetery in Kellyville under the direction of Owen Funeral Home. 

Mr. Bowers was born Jan 12, 1897, in Greenville, Texas, was a veteran of World War I, married Bertha Hogan in Colgate, Okla. And lived in Tulsa for several yearS. 

He lived in Kellyville for the past 35 years, he and his wife worked at the Kellyville Mercantile for almost 20 years and he retired from the business as a butcher. 

Survivors include daughters Jewel Matlock and Christine Bingham, both of Sapulpa; brothers Bill Bowers of Tulsa, F. H. Bowers of Hawthorne, Nev., and M. H. Bowers of Napa, Calif.; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. 

The family will headquarter at 726 S. Cedar.

JOHN C. BOWERS 

KELLYVILLE — Services for John Clifton Bowers are scheduled for 2 pm Tuesday at the Kellyville Free Holiness Church with the Rev. Archie Rivers officiating. 

Burial will be at the Kellyville Cemetery at Kellyville under the direction of Owen Funeral Home. 

Casket bearers will be John Romine, Guy Dodson, Earl Hiett, Dixon Cartright, Virgil Hiett, and Cecil Luper. 

Mr. Bowers, a long time Kellyville resident, died Friday.
