GAINES, Thelma Whiteley DEPEW - Thelma Whiteley Gaines, 81, Depew, died Friday at Drumright Nursing Center. Services will be 2 pm Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Depew with the Rev. Harry Dodd officiating. Burial will be at Bristow City Cemetery under the direction of Schumacher Funeral Home, Bristow. She was born July 9, 1908, in Seminole and lived in Depew most of her life. She was a cook at Depew Schools for several years, housewife, member of the Hobby Club and was formerly active with senior citizens. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Jim Whiteley in 1974 and Stan Gaines in 1986, and a daughter, Maxine Willeford in 1969. Survivors include sons Bill McNees of Bullhead City, Ariz., Tommy Whiteley of Sapulpa and Jim Whiteley of Denver; daughter Norma Miller of Oceanside, Calif.; sister Jewel Muse of Konawa, seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
