Carl Leon Groves, 65, 240 N. Division, died Saturday, June 24, 1995 at Hillcrest Medical Center.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at North Heights Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. W.C. Hamilton, Sam Gober and Millard McAGuire. Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Gardens, directed by Smith Funeral Home.

He was born Nov. 9, 1929 in Keystone. He married Marva Bilby.

He worked as a layout welder fitter for Lee. C. Moore Co. for 34 years and retired in 1989. He was a member of North Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Marva, of the home; a son, James Groves, Sapulpa; two daughters, Linda Lee Johnson, Sand Springs, and Patricia Lynn Caldwell, Sapulpa; two step-daughters, Debroah Lee Hester, Sapulpa, and Brynad Kae Tarplay, Tulsa; two brothers, James O. Groves, Houston, Texas, and Earl Eugene Groves, Sapulpa; and six grandchildren.

The casket will not be opened at the services.

Services for Carl Leon Groves were held today at North Heights Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. W.C. Hamilton, Sam Gober and Millard McGuire officiating. Burial was in Green Hills Memorial Gardens, directed by Smith Funeral Home.

Casket bearers were Bill Sorrell, Loyd Johnson, Bobby Ellis, Ray Enlow, Jeff Edwards and Terry Blackburn. Honorary bearers were Cotton Mears and Harold McGuire.
