HOWARD, Luther Sr.

Luther Howard, Sr., 88, 612 N. Johannes, died Thursday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

Services will be 11 am Monday at King Solomon Baptist Church under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home, Tulsa.

Burial will be at St. John Cemetery, Sapulpa.

He was born Jan 10, 1903, in Davenport, Okla., and later moved to Sapulpa where he married Margaret Ingram.

Mr. Howard worked at the Berryhill Building for 20 years before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, and son, Luther Howard Jr.

Survivors include sons Roy of Cerritos, Calif., and Carl and Freddie, both of Sapulpa; daughters Marjorie Ponds of Tulsa, and Hattie Noble and Sandra Breckenridge, both of Sapulpa; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at 612 N. Johannes.
