The Rev. Edward Leader, 85, of Sapulpa, died Thursday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

A Prayer service will be held 8 pm Sunday at Little Cussetah Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Little Cussetah Baptist church with the revs. George Jesse and Willis Knight officiating.

Burial will be at Cussetah Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

He was born July 18, 1904, in Bixby. He lived in Sapulpa all his life except for 14 years when he served as a minister at the Brighton Reservation in Florida.

He was a farmer, minister, and member of the Little Cussetah Baptist Church.

Survivors include wife Samaria; sister Abbey Washington of Bixby; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for the Rev. Edward Leader were today at Little Cussetah Baptist Church with the Revs. George Jesse and Willia Knight officiating.

Burial was at Cussetah Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.

Casket bearers were Wiley Washington, Joseph Land, Vernon Land, Paul Land, Joe Bruner and Elbert Snow.
