Henry R. Maxey, 70, Bristow, died Monday, March 20, 1995 in Oklahoma City.

Services were scheduled for 1 p.m. today at Greater Mount Herman Baptist Church south of Bristow with the Rev. David Chaney of St. Andrews Baptist Church in Wichita, KS, officiating. Burial will be in Newby Cemetery, directed by Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home.

He was born Feb. 22, 1925 in Newby to James and Callie Maxey.

He attended Lincoln High School in Bristow. He retired as a cook in the U. S. Army in January 1972.

Survivors include a daughter, Yasmin Hines, Grand Prairie, TX; two sisters, Carrie Chaney, Bristow and Carries James, Duncan; and a grandson.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and seven brothers.
