MANNFORD - The Rev. Lonnie Lloyd Osborn, 78, Mannford, died Tuesday at a Tulsa Hospital.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at the Mannford Assembly of God with the Rev. Don Couch officiating.

Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery, Mannford, under the direction of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Home, Sand Springs.

He was born May 16, 1912, in Pocasset and retired after 50 years in the ministry. He served as missionary in Latin America and worked also as a carpenter, electrician, teacher and principal.

Rev. Osborn, was a Sunday school teacher and elder at the Mannford Assembly of God and a former president of Sapulpa Ministerial Alliance and the Mannford Senior Citizens. He was named the Mannford Assembly of God's Best Dad in 1989 and attended Keystone High School and Northeastern State University.

He was preceded in death by sister Dimple Meeks and wife Goldie Marie Scott.

Survivors include wife Faye Applegate Osborn; daughter Lonetta Sue Schaefer of Mannford; sons Richard Dean Osborn of Tulsa and Darrel Robert Osborn of Guthrie; sisters Nellie Roberts of Katy, Texas, Daisy Gillock of Odessa, Texas, Verna Reed of Mannford and Frankie Funkhouser of Blackburn; brothers Verl Osborn and T. L. Osborn, both of Tulsa, Roy Osborn of Ponca City, Jack Osborn of Sand Springs and Ted Osborn of Blackburn; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
