BRISTOW - J. A. Rufner, 84, of Bristow, died Tuesday in Sapulpa.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 am Thursday at Bristow
City Cemetery.
Burial will follow under the direction of Shumacher Funeral Home.
Mr. Ruffner was born Oct 31, 1907 in Beggs, Indian Territory. He was a retired
tollgate attendant on the Turner Turnpike. He lived in Bristow and Depew all of
his life. He was of the Advent Christian faith.
Survivors include his wife, Jimmie Mae Aston Rufner; son J. A. Rufner Jr. of
Sapulpa; sister Katherine Donaldson of Tulsa; three grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.
