Regent’s Theme: “Sailing Ships & Treasure Chests: Colonial Heritage”
When Europeans came to the Colonies, their mode of transportation was the sailing ship. All their possessions were in a “Treasure Chest”.
Regent’s Project is placement & dedication of an Historical Memorial Marker
Regent’s Scripture: “The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure . . .” Deut. 28:12 “Faithful friends are gifts from heaven: Whoever finds one has found a treasure.”
Friendships abound among members of Daughters of the American Colonists in Oklahoma — home of Native America. Members have direct lineage to Colonists who helped settle our great and wonderful nation of America.
The Object of the Society The object of this Society shall be Patriotic, Historical and Educational; to make research as to the history and deeds of the American colonist and to record and publish the same; to commemorate deeds of colonial interest; to inculcate and foster love of America and its institutions by all its residents; to obey its laws and venerate its flag—the emblem of its power and civic righteousness.
