 CD-ROMS for Research

Our Computer Center has seen constant growth since it was first installed and set up for use by genealogical researchers. Following is a list of the CD-ROMs that we have on hand to help with this research.

CD-ROM GENEALOGICAL DISKETTES

Available for research.

 Family Tree Maker CDs.

1. Family finder Index, Version #10 Volumes I through 097 Family Tree Maker World Wide Family tree, Pre 1600 to present.

(A good way to work with the Family Tree Maker CDs, is to go to the Family Tree Maker web page (http:/www.familytreemaker. com) and look up your particular ancestors. Make a note of the CD-ROMS that it tells you  your ancestor's information will be found on.  They will want to sell you the CD for $20.  Better yet, and for FREE, come to this page on the EGS web site and see if we have the CD on hand. If we do, come down to our computer center with a diskette, bring up Family Tree Maker on the computer and load the CD that their web site called for. Find your ancestor's information and download it to your diskette. Or, print it out a hard copy to take home. Or, you could buy the CD-ROM from the Family Tree People and not use our free system. Take your pick! Our docents will always be glad to help you - no charge!)
