OBITUARY: Johnston, Co, OK CAPITOL DEMOCRAT, 28 Mar 1996: Services for Noreene Jewell Warden, 79, were held at 2 pm Tuesday at the Presbyterian Church, Rev. Kenneth McCarthick officiating. Interment followed at Condon Grove Cemetery. The daughter of the late Rufus C. Pleasant and Anna Lee (Teafatiller) Pleasant, she was born April 11, 1916 at Connerville. She died March 23, 1996 at Ada. She had been a resident of Johnston County all her life. On January 3, 1931, she married Virgle "Byrd" Warden at Reagan. She and her husband ran a dairy for several years in Johnston County before they retired. A loving and caring mother of six, she also enjoyed working in her garden and raising her children. Mrs. Warden was preceeded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters. Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons, Lew Wentz Warden of Oklahoma City and Larry Kent Warden of Tulsa; four daughters, Marion Lee Bray of Pryor, Nancy Sue Warden of Sterling, VA, Linda Lowry of Grapevine, TX and Sandy J. Williams of Hurst, Texas; one sister, Carmelita Foster of Ceres, Calif; 15 grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren. Serving as bearers were her grandsons. Corbin Funeral Home of Tishomingo was in charge of arrangements.
