Pauline BENSON

    Graveside services for Pauline BENSON of Ada, formerly of Hemet Ca. and Weleetka were held June 27 at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Weleetka.

    She was born July 21, 1912 in Missouri to Charles Edgar and Delilah HALL CAMPBELL and died June 25 at Valley View Hospital in Ada at the age of 89.

    Mrs. BENSON came to Weleetka as a youngster and graduated from Weleetka high school. She married A. D. "Del" BENSON in Sayre on April 21, 1946.

    The couple owned a grocery store in Elk City and finished their grocery careers in California, where Mrs. BENSON was named "checker of the year" by the United Food and Commercial Workers Union.

    Mrs. BENSON was a member of the Hemet First Christian Church.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Del, her mother and father, her brother Pete, and sisters, Opal, Vida and Lillian.

    Survivors include a brother-in-law and sister-in-law , Mr. and Mrs. Elmer BENSON of Carlsbad, N.M.; a brother-in-law, Truman DANIEL of Midland, Tx; four nephews and wives, Ronnie and Patsy WEST of Ada, Chad and Lisa CAMPBELL of San Jose, Ca. Doug TATE of Elk City and Gene and Rachelle RUTLAND of Kileen, Tx.; four nieces, Shannon CAMPBELL of Orange, Debbie and Tony CARTER of Elk City, Jeanine THORPE of Carlsbad, n. M> and Patricia VAHN of Amarillo, Tx. 10 great-nieces and nephews; and seven great-great-nieces and nephews.

Services were under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home.
