LeRoy BIBLE Sr.

    Graveside services for LeRoy BIBLE Sr. were held July 10 at Holdenville Cemetery with Rev. Meredith ROBINSON officiating.

    He was born Jan. 2, 1921 in Sasakwa to Roy BIBLE and Louella SATTERLEY BIBLE and died July 8 in Oklahoma City at the age of 81.

    Mr. BIBLE was a lifelong resident of the area and a past member of the Lions Club and the American Legion. A veteran of World War II serving with the U. S. Army, he worked as a roughneck in the oilfields and as a contractor for the U. S. Postal Service.

    Survivors include his wife, Maxine of the home; sons, LeRoy BIBLE, Jr. and wife Debbie, of Bentonville, Ar. and Rusty BIBLE and wife, Sandy, of Holdenville; daughters, Susie HESTER and husband, Benny, of Holdenville, Karla HARDEN and husband, David, of Gerty, Tanda BACA of Lamar and Shawn BIBLE and companion, Chris STEERMAN of Oklahoma City; brothers, Jack BIBLE of Wewoka and Wayne BIBLE and Bill BIBLE, both of Sasakwa; a sister, Jana HEARD of Sasakwa; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

    Pallbearers were Jimmy BIBLE, Bryan BIBLE, Jacob BACA, Andy BACA, and Darrin BIBLE.

    Services were under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home of Holdenville.
