Shirley CARTWRIGHT

            Funeral services for Shirley Jean CARTWRIGHT will be held Friday, July 9, at 1 p.m. at the Penn West Baptist church. Rev. Don FOSTER will officiate, assisted by Rev. Donald FOSTER.

            She was born in the state of Indiana on July 22, 1939 to Alvina (FAULKERSON) DIMMETT and Archie Herbert DIMMETT and died July 4 at Holdenville General Hospital at the age of 59 years.

            She was reared in Indiana and lived in California for more than 20 years. She was married to Uyless CARTWRIGHT on July 27 in Las Vegas, Nv. Following their marriage, they moved to Centrahoma in 1979, then to Ada and finally to Holdenville where she lived for the past 14 years.

Mrs. CARTWRIGHT attended Penn West Baptist church. She loved to fish and play dominoes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Uyless CARTWRIGHT, on Feb. 11, 1988;one son, James CARTWRIGHT, in 1995; one daughter, Pauline CARTWRIGHT in 1998; one daughter-in-law, Vena BASCO, in February; two sons-in-law, Joe MONTFOMERY in June and Tommy MORRIESETT in January.

Survivors include seven daughters, Laura MONTGOMERY and Kathy CARTWRIGHT, both of Oklahoma City, Evon MORRIESETT of California, Peggy PATRICK of Shawnee, Lorna FOSTER, Elinor CARTRIGHT and Samantha DAVILLA, all of Holdenville; three sons, John CARTWRIGHT of California and Joe DIMMETT and James BASCO, both of Tulsa; 25 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Edward CARTWRIGHT, Joe DEMMETT, James BASCO, Claude SMITH, Jeffery SMITH and John CARTWRIGHT. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry JENSON, Cameron FOSTER, Stephen BASCO and Matthew BASCO.

Interment will be at Centrahoma cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
