John Loran CRAWFORD
July 10, 1934 - March 27, 2002

    Funeral Services for John Loran CRAWFORD were held April 1, 2002 at the Faith Freewill Baptist Church in Holdenville, Ok with Rev. Bob DUNCAN officiating.
     He was born July 10, 1934 to John Cecial Crawford and Sarah Ethel (HANKINS) CRAWFORD and died March 27, 2002 at the age of 67.
     He was reared in the Horntown community and attended Moss School. He served his country from 1953 to 1957 in the United States Marine Corps and also was a carpenter.
     Mr. CRAWFORD married Velma Ruby ALLEN in Horntown, Ok on September 14, 1962. The couple operated the Estes Motel in the 1980's
     Survivors include sons, Donald CRAWFORD and wife, Andrea, and Robert CRAWFORD, all of Holdenville; daughters, Ruby OCHOA and husband, Chris, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Betty CARPENTER and companion, Mitchel CARGILLE, of Sasakwa; three grandchildren, Matthew LEDBETTER of Wewoka, Felicia CARPENTER and Lori CARPENTER, both of Sasakwa; sister, Corrina PATTERSON of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brothers, Jarvis CRAWFORD and wife, Margie, of Ada, Oklahoma and John Keith HANKINS and wife, Margret, of Moore; and several nieces and nephews.
     Pallbearers were Willington DINDY, Matt HAMILTON, Daniel SWIFT, Joseph SWIFT, Roger CELLARS and Drew NEWTON.
     Interment with American Legion rites was in the McMahan Cemetery east of Horntown, Oklahoma under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home of Holdenville, Oklahoma.
