Stanley E. “Tubby” DEARMOND

            Funeral services for Stanley DEARMOND were held July 13 at the Assembly of God church in Weleetka, the son of Cleo and Vada YARBROUGH DEARMOND, and died July 11 at the St. John Medical Center at the age of 60 years, nine months and 12 days.

            Mr. DEARMOND was reared in the Pharoah area and attended the Spring Hill school through third grade. He then moved to Fox and attended school there where he graduated.

            He spent most of his working career in the Seminole area with his wife, Joan, and their children. Mr. DEARMOND was employed by the Dover Corporation where he worked in the oil field and was promoted to district manager. He then became an oil pump supply dealer and also was an owner and operator of oil wells.

            Mr. DEARMOND was a member of the DEARMOND Family WUARTET.

            He was preceded in death by his father, Cleo, and two brothers, Jimmie and Charles.

            Survivors include his mother, Vada, of Ft. Smith, Ar.; a son, Michael DEARMOND of Tucson, Az.; two daughters, Rebecca RISON of Lafe, Az. And Amy RUSHING of Seminole; a sister, Sharon JACKSON of Tulsa; a brother, Gary DEARMOND of Ft. Smith, Ar.; four grandchildren, Brecken RUSHING, Keelee RUSHING, Kyle DEARMOND and Riley DEARMOND; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

            Pallbearers were Marvin WHITE, Bill WITHAM, Keith STREET, Cliff DEARMOND, Kent DEARMOND and Max CLINE.

            Interment was in the LIKOWSKI cemetery under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home.
