Rites Tuesday for Mrs. ELLIS
Funeral services for Mrs. Dollie Ann ELLIS, resident of the Hill Top community southeast of Calvin for 35 years, will be held at the Hill Top school house Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, followed by burial at Hill Top cemetery.
Mrs. ELLIS, wife of J. S. ELLIS died here Saturday night. She had been brought here for medical treatment and was rooming at 315 N. Gulf where she died. Death was caused by ulcer and complications incident to old age. Mrs. ELLIS would have been 78 years of age next Nov. 13, she had been in ill health for several months.
Besides her husband, Mrs. ELLIS is survived by six sons, one daughter, several grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The sons are; Frank ELLIS, Stuart, Okla. John ELLIS, Stuart, Okla. Lon ELLIS, Oakland, Cal., Homer ELLIS, Oakland, Cal.. Floyd ELLIS, Richmond, Cal. and Clinton ELLIS, Oakland, Cal. The daughter is Mrs. Ed DAVIS of Stuart, Okla. All seven children are home for the funeral tomorrow afternoon
Mrs. ELLIS, the former Dollie Ann TEER, was born in Hopkins county Texas. She and her husband moved to Daugherty before statehood and 47 years ago moved to what is now Hughes county. They had been married 58 years at the time of her death. The family located in the Hill Top community 35 years ago and has resided there since. Mrs. ELLIS was a member of the Advent Christian Church of Hill Top community.
Hudson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pall bearers will be: Gordon DERRICK, Bert LEVITT, Curtis BAKER, Bud BROWN, Troy JOHNSON, and Clarence HOWELL.
