Connie Sue (Jay) EMERSON
1949 - November 9, 2002

     Connie EMERSON passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2002, in Moss at the age of 53. Connie was born in Lamar, Oklahoma, to Tom and Lela JAY. Connie attended Moss School. Connie married T. J. EMERSON in Texas and they were married for 21 years. She loved being a mother, and loved her son Scott. Connie also enjoyed working at OBU and all her students that she got to know.
     Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Lela JAY; three brothers, Raymond, Lowell, and Bobby JAY, and one sister Mary GRIST.
     Survivors are her husband, T. J. EMERSON of the home; son, Scott EMERSON and wife, Stacy of Ada, Oklahoma; sisters, Cora MOONEY of Holdenville, Oklahoma; Minnie STANFIELD of Henryetta, Oklahoma; Velva WAGONER of Moore, Oklahoma; Ruby WHIFIELD of Eugene, Oregon; brothers, Jobie JAY of Holdenville, Oklahoma; Ocie JAY of Holdenville, Oklahoma; Tommy JAY of Newton, Kansas; Harold JAY of Holdenville, Oklahoma; Burl JAY of Wolf, Oklahoma and Billy JAY of Holdenville, Oklahoma. Her mother and father-in-law, Jack and Shirley EMERSON of Stuart, Oklahoma. Connie is survived by a host of other relatives and many friends.
     Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at the East Main Church of Christ. Internment followed the service at Holdenville, Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
