James GOODSON

Services for James GOODSON, 57, Harrah,
Ok. were at 2:00 P.M., May 7, 2002 at Lamar Community Center. James BRANSCUM
officiated with burial at Lamar Cemetery, Lamar, Ok.
Mr. GOODSON died May 4, 2002, at Harrah, Ok. He was
born August 29, 1944, at Midwest City, Ok. to Wesley and Mary OWENS GOODSON.
He was raised in the Lamar area and attended school at
Lamar and Moss where he graduated. He was married to Jeanie CHASTAIN on December
26, 1969 at Tulsa, Oklahoma and had lived in Harrah, Ok. for the past 22
years.
He worked for the United States Department of
Agriculture Fruits and Vegetable Inspection Department for 32 years. His last
assignment was as federal supervisor. James enjoyed his work, his children and
his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley GOODSON,
and two brothers, Gary and Jerry GOODSON.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanie, of the home; three
sons, David GOODSON and his wife, Holly, Midwest City, Ok., Douglas GOODSON and
his wife, Christy, of Joliet, IL., and Steven GOODSON of Harrah, Ok.; his
mother, Mary GOODSON of Lamar, Ok.; two grandchildren, Dustin and Cheyenne
GOODSON of Joliet, IL.
Four brothers, John and Beverly GOODSON of Lamar, Ok., Mike and Denise
GOODSON of Holdenville, Ok., Mark and Debbie GOODSON of Wetumka, Ok. and
Ron and Effie GOODSON of Lamar, Ok.; and several nieces, nephews and other
relatives.
Pallbearers were Gary BARTON, David SPENCES, Garry
PHILLIPS, Benny WHEAT, Ken HOUSE and Patrick CONNER. Honorary pallbearers were
Chad BARTON and Rocky ROWLETT.
Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
