Obituary
Death has claimed three from our little city in two days. The first was Stephen HARDWICK, one of our honored citizens, died in Oklahoma City in the hospital. Mr. HARDWICK had been in poor health for some time and there being no signs of improvement he was taken to Oklahoma City to the hospital, but in spite of the fact that everything was done for him which loved ones and medical skill could do, he is gone from among us. His body was laid to rest in the Holdenville Cemetery Oct. 30th. Mr. HARDWICK was born in Monroe County, Mo., March 26, 1854. He moved to Illinois in early life and was married to Sarah Alice OWEN (sic. OWINGS) April 14, 1880. To them were born 6 children, 5 girls and one boy. Three daughters have preceded him to the other life. His wife, two daughters and his son are left to mourn his loss. Mr. HARDWICK had been a member of the Methodist Church for many years.
