Lela HARWELL    

    Lela HARWELL passed away on November 14, 2002 in Rogers, Arkansas at the age of 94. She was born in Van Buren County Arkansas on August 2, 1908 to Mr. and Mrs. John STORY.

    She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Ovid HARWELL and four siblings, Vivian ALSUP, Berkey STORY, Leeroy STORY and Modina STORY.

    She is survived by a son and daughter in law, Ronald HARWELL of Sallisaw and one daughter and son in law Debbie and Lee BIBLE of Bentonville, Arkansas. She was rewarded in life with two granddaughters, Tiffany and Michelle and two great granddaughters, Caitlin and Jordan. She will be missed by numerous family members and friends.

    She moved to Oklahoma in 1922 and met and married Ovid HARWELL on October 16, 1933. After leaving the area for approximately 20 years, they returned in 1970 and made their home in Holdenville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Holdenville.

    Services will be held at 1:30 Monday, November 18, 2002 at Hudson-Phillips Chapel and burial will follow at Holdenville Cemetery  under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
