Geneve THOMPSON HENRY
Funeral services for Geneva THOMPSON HENRY WERE HELD July 3 at the Carson Baptist church.
Geneve Myrtle THOMPSON HENRY, daughter of Joseph and Martha THOMPSON, was born Nov. 10, 1924 in Osborne, Ks. And died June 28 in Weleetka.
She graduated with honors from the Stockton, Ks. High School and attended the Palmer Business School in Manhattan, Ks. She worked for Beech Aircraft Company during World War II.
On June 27, 1946, she was married to Alva R. HENRY in Wichita, Ks. They moved to the Big Prairie community near Dustin in 1949, where they were in the farming and ranking business.
Mrs. HENRY was active in the Carson Baptist church, in both state and country Farm Bureau, county election board and Carson Home Demonstration Club. He hobbies were reading, gardening and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Donald, a sister, Regina and her husband, Alva.
Survivors include a son, Charles and Laura Mae HENRY of Dustin; a daughter, Joan and Lloyd TRIMBLE of Greenville, S.C.; two sisters, Loucille LEMONDS of Sacramento, Ca. and June TAYLOR of Belle Plain, Ks.; two brothers, Dean THOMPSON of Craig, Co. and John THOMPSON of Commerce City, Co.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Michael DAVIS, Charles DAVIS, Aaron SMALL, Seth HUMPHREY, Mark DAVIS and Jacob HENRY.
Services were under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home.
