Margaret HOLMAN
    Funeral services for Margaret HOLMAN, a Holdenville resident , were held April 29 at the First Baptist Church in Holdengville with Rev. Steve MURRAY officiating.
    She was born May 26, 1931 in Cordell to Hestle and Lorene (HAMLIN) SHOCKLEY and died April 26 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City after a short illness at age of 70.
    She was reared in the Spaulding and Holdenville area, attended Holdenville schools and later graduated in 1949.
    She married Kerwin Speck HOLMAN on April 26, 1950. She worked for the Holdenville school system and superintendent's office for 20 years.
    Mrs. HOLMAN was a member of the First Baptist Church in Holdenville, the Los Tores Investment Club, the Holdenville Alumni Association, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Yell County Historical Society and the Dardanelle Rock Chapter.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Hestle and Lorene SHOCKLEY, her husbnd, Kerwin Speck HOLMAN, and a brother, Royce SHOCKLEY.
    Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Mike GOODSON of Holdenville; two grandchildren, Lori and David BARBRE of Holdenville; three great-grandchildren, Tanner GOFORTH and Kaden and Brody BARBRE; a sister, Anna BECKETT of Arlington, Tx.; a brother, Mike SHOCKLEY of Holdenville; and several other relatives.
    Pallbearers were Floyd JOHNSON, Andy YOUNG, Weldon THETFORD, Lofton CROSSNO, Woodrow HALL, Oran CARTER and Jerry ANDERSON. Honorary pallbearers were Herman MEDLOCK, James SEXTON, J. C. COLLIS, Steve BECKETT, Mark BECKETT and Roy RAMSEY.
    Interment was in Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home of Holdenville.

NOTE**** Mrs. HOLMAN's grandchildren are Lori BARBRE and John GOODSON (not named in the obit)
