Services Saturday For Grace SANFORD HOOVER

    Grace SANFORD HOOVER, 88, passed away at Heritage Village Nursing Home on Thursday, April 17, 1997.

    She was born in Bentonville, Ar. on July 3, 1908 to Mary Rosetta Jane (GIBSON) JONES and James Earl JONES. She was reared and attended schools at Bentonville and moved to Oklahoma at the age of 16. She lived in Hughes County most of her life. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church.

    Survivors are one son, James J. SANFORD and his wife, Helen, of Holdenville; one daughter, Wilma TAYLOR and her husband,  Rogers, Ar.; one granddaughter, Jana DUPRE and her husband, Nelson, of Euless, Tx.; two grandsons, Brent HEMINGWAY and his wife, Janice of Noel, Mo.; and Lt. Col. Kevin SANFORD and his wife, Valerie of St. Charles, Mo.; one great-granddaughter, Valerie Jean SANDFORD; two great-grandsons, Joshua HEMINGWAY and Coleson HEMINGWAY; one brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Alice JONES of Holdenville and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

    Funeral services will be Saturday, April 19 at 11 a.m. at the Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Russell PAYNE officiating. Pallbearers will be James SEXTON, Bill MUSE, Leroy DORITEY, Harmon BARNETT, Harold PHILLIPS and Lonnie ARTHUR. Honorary pall bearers will be Willie HALE and Clay CHISM. Burial will be in Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
