Chester Arthur JACKSON
Chester Arthur JACKSON was born May 20, 1916 at Konawa to Henry and Emetine JACKSON and died May 21 in Norman at the age of 83.
Chester was married to Margie ELLIOTT on July 2, 1939 in Konawa. He was a farmer and oil field worker until his retirement in 1984. Mr. JACKSON was a member of the Wetumka First Baptist Church in Wetumka.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Dorothy PREWITT; four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include: his wife Margie of the home; daughters and sons-in-laws, Margie and Doyle SEXTON of Asher, Martha and Kenneth HESTER of Sylva, K.S., Mary Beth and Leroy WILHELM of
Ft. Cobb; sons and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Patricia JACKSON of Davenport, Paul Wayne JACKSON of Oklahoma City; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; six step grandchildren; a brother Alvie JACKSON of Del City; a sister, Norma EDWARDS of Stuart; and several other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be May 26 at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Wetumka with Rev. Randy MCCOWN and Rev. Frank HESTER officiating. Interment will be in the Vista Cemetery west of Konawa, under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home.
