Harry Ellis LEDBETTER
August 19, 1908  -  December 26, 2001

    Harry Ellis LEDBETTER, age 93, passed away on December 26, 2001, at Boyce Manor Nursing Home. He was born August 19, 1908 to George and Margret (SHAW) LEDBETTER in Webber’s Falls, Oklahoma. Harry was a long time resident of the Holdenville area. Harry married Virgie Lee BRITTAIN on October 29, 1929 in Holdenville Oklahoma. They had 5 children: sons, James, Bob, Eddie (Vernie) and Larry and daughter, Deloris (Lois).
     Harry spent his life farming, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed spending time at the Civic Center with his friends playing dominoes. He was also a member of the Capital Heights Missionary Baptist Church.
     His parents, George and Margret, wife Virgie and son Eddie preceded Harry in death.
     Survivors include sons, Bob and his wife Joyce of Holdenville, James and his wife Gloria of Seminole and Larry of Wasco, California, daughter, Deloris SNEED of Oklahoma City and former husband Donnie SNEED of Porum, Oklahoma, daughter-in-law, Pat LEDBETTER of Del City; grandchildren: Jeff LEDBETTER of Holdenville, Wayne LEDBETTER of Bakersfield, CA, Vickie LEDBETTER of Seminole, Renee WALL of Del City; Donna HIDER of Del City; Diane RAMIREZ of Newalla; George LEDBETTER of Newark CA and April LEDBETTER of Wasco, CA. Great Grandchildren: Jessica LEDBETTER, Jennifer COWAN, Emily WALL, Billy and Ricky HIDER, Brian and Nicole RAMIREZ, Gage LEDBETTER, Jerri LEDBETTER and Nathan LEDBETTER. Great Great Grandchildren: Melanie MORENO and Kolby COWAN and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
     Graveside services were held Friday, December 28, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jim CRAWFORD officiating. Interment was under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home of Holdenville.
