Darvin OSBORN

    Memorial services for Darvin OSBORN will be held Thursday, Aug. 1, at 10:30 a.m., at the Church of Christ in Wetumka with Rev. Ronnie OSBORN officiating.

    He was born July 28, 1913 in Flippin, Ar.. to John and Helen OSBORN and died July 29 at Valley View Hospital in Ada, surrounded by loved ones.

    Mr. OSBORN moved to Wetumka where he worked as a farmer and an oil contract pumper for several oil companies for 40 plus years.

    On Dec. 28, 1940, he married his wife of over 61 years, Gela WILLIAMS.

    Mr. OSBORN loved spending time in his gardens and cutting the lawn, being with his family and on Wednesday and Sunday you could always find him at the Church of Christ giving praises to his Lord.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen, brothers R. J. OSBORN, Eldon and Darl, and his sister, Opal SIMMONS.

    Survivors include his wife, Gela of the home in Wetumka; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Carol OSBORN of Miami; two daughters and a son-ion-law, Diana OSBORN and Sue and Emmitt LEFTWICH of Wetumka; two sisters, Alene FLETCHER of Holdenville and Ivon WILLIAMS  of Glendale, Az.; six grandchildren, Greg OSBORN, Angela VAUGHN, Mason and Thaja LEFTWICH, Suzette and Les MANGRUM, Deana KETTLE and David KETTLE; and 10 great-grandchildren.

    Interment will be at the Wetumka Cemetery under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home.
