Brown Cemetery
Wapanucka, Johnston Co., Oklahoma

The Cemetery is off Hwy 28 South of Wapanucka.  It is on the left hand side of the road if you are coming out of Wapanucka.  When I visited it, it was in the middle of a pasture in the middle of a group of trees in this pasture.  I believe it is on someone's land but don't know whose.  There is a white house close by though. I have been told that someone has cleaned it up now and put a fence up around it.  I would have never known there was a cemetery there if a great uncle of mine had not told

me.  The Stephen Taylor that is buried there is my GGG-Grandfather who came to Wapanucka circa 1880 from Bradley Co, Tennessee.
