Elizabeth "Beth" A. Cantrell, 76, of Shady Point, passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003 at Fort Smith, Ark. She was born Dec. 29, 1926 at Atlanta, Ga. to Bernie G. and Willie Ardel Smith. She loved to paint and loved music.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Linda Beth Pomeroy; one son, Gary Billingsley; and one brother, Bernie G. Smith Jr.
Survivors include her husband Guy of the home; five sons, Wayne Allen Billingsley of Alpharetta, Ga., Steve Billingsley of Del Rio, Texas, Bruce Billingsley of Point, Texas, Larry Cantrell of Derby, Kan. and Wayne Cantrell of Seattle, Wash.; three daughters, Jenny Williamson of Wichita, Kan., Connie Helm of Derby, Kan. and Sandy Rogers of Belle Plaine, Kan.; 28 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Freida Baudour; other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with the Rev. Dale Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in
Shady Point Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
