Carrol Meeks
HEAVENER - Carrol Meeks, 59, of Heavener died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, in Heavener. He was born July 29, 1943, in Poteau. He was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of the Wister area. He was a rancher and worked as ring man at Poor Boy Livestock Auction for a number of years.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel Baptist Church in Wister with burial at
Ellis Chapel Cemetery in Wister under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; a daughter, Paula Titsworth of Hatfield; a son, Kenneth "Brother" Meeks of Heavener; a sister, Yvonne Dassler of Wister; five brothers, Wayne and Melvin Meeks of Wister, Gerald Meeks of Howe and Mack and Claude Smith of Wister; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
