I don't know what these stamps were for.
I know Sugar and gas were both rationed. There was also some other items that were rationed but I don't remember what they were.
These are not for gas for they were stamped A B T. A stamps were for cars and were good for 3 gallons of fuel. I don't remember about the B. The T sticker was for trucks and each stamp was good for 5 gallons of fuel.
Tires were very hard to get. You had to apply for special permits to get tires. Then in most cases they would be recaps.You can see the date on the one book and it was May 4, 1942.Also you can see the name of the person that filled out the book. It was Flora C. Pullen. She was my second grade teacher in 1935 at the De Queen Arkansas Grade School.submitted by Tom Jones
