Family Finders Club Report
March 2001
March 6, 2001

We had a most beautiful sunny day for our meeting March 6th and must send a get well message to Boyd Berg for a speedy recovery from all of us. As Boyd said "he had a mechanical work over to get jump started." His recovery may be slow but we know he is working on it.

We had a new visitor, Glenna Maddux, who did join the club and also signed up her sister, Barbara Krouse. Gracious it's good to have you girls. At present they are doing their own families research.

New contacts are Becky Woodrow, Phoenix, AZ, and sister, Peggy Gerdes, Seattle, WA. Their family is their grandmother, Mary J Thompson and her brother, John Martin Thompson. Most all of their kin are buried at Riley Cemetery in Nowata County. They are mainly interested in history of Nowata County back in the good old days.

Tammy Allen, Thayer KS, is interested in the Deere family and the web site of Vivian Brinker at Coffeyville KS. Vivian hosts the Nowata County OKGenWeb online at http://users.rootsweb.com/~oknowata/NowCty.htm and everyone should visit to chat or for family research of Nowata.

Also Barbara Pulliman of Las Vegas, NV, found her Cherokee heritage by contacting FFClub. She had been searching close to 5 years for this information. Wish to thank Wayne Fry in getting Barbara's family information connection to the Cokers.

Bobette Liebman, Tulsa, OK, is searching for information on the Green family. They are buried at Martin Cemetery and are Nora and Clarence Green.

Come to our next meeting Tuesday, April 3 at 1:30 pm at Nowata Library.
