Gladys Ragan - Owasso Reporter April 19, 1999
Services for Gladys Ragan of Claremore were held April 27 at Rice Funeral Service.
Burial was at the Winganon Cemetery near Cheslea. She died April 23, 1999.
She was born Jan. 27, 1914 in Illinois. She and her husband Bill lived in Concord, Ill., before moving to Chelsea in 1988. Upon Bill's death in 1998 she has been living with her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Alan Higdon.
Among her other survivors is a daughter, Elaine Potter and husband Gary of Mokena, Ill., and a granddaughter, Joni Post, of Owasso.


 
Frances Richardson- Owasso Reporter Nov 25, 1999
Frances Virginia Richardson, 74, passed away on Nov. 9, 1999. She was born in Claremore on July 22, 1925 to Euel and Hester Henry Eubanks.
Frances was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and friend who always had a smile for everyone. She was a long-time member of the Owasso Church of the Nazarene. She made many friends during her two-year stay at Frances Streitel Villa in Collinsville, and will be missed by all.
She is survived by her husband Finis T. Richardson, Jr. of the home, a son Finis T. Richardson III and wife Debi Lynn of Owasso, Deborah Kay and husband Rick Oldham of Oak Grove, Mo; six grandchildren: Erin Michelle Richardson, and Elizabeth Marie Richardson and Ethan Michael Richardson, of Owasso, and Scott Oldham, Brandy Wallace and Jeremy Oldham of Oak Grove; one great-grandson, Brandon Silverson of Independence, Mo.
Rev. Larry Brinkley and Rev. James Thompson officiated services on Nov. 12 at Moore's Owasso Chapel. Interment at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Owasso Chapel.



James Richardson -
Owasso Reporter  Oct. 14, 1999
Owasso resident James Cory Richardson, 30 passed away Oct. 6, 1999.  He was born Sept. 19, 1969 to Jack C. and M. Sue Brase Richardson of Las Vegas, Nev.
He was the grandson of J.C. and Rema Richardson longtime Owasso residents, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by Karyn Korte of the home; mother Sue McPartland of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandparents, Richard and Velma Brase of Tulsa; one brother, John C. Richardson of Phoenix; one sister, Janet K. Kuhn of Phoenix; niece and nephew, Cassie and Tyler.
Pastor Jim Haner officiated services Oct. 8 at Moore's Owasso Chapel. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Moore Funeral Home.
 

David Reedy - Owasso Reporter  June 10, 1999
David lee Reedy of Avant died May 21, 1999. Services were held May 25 in Avant Methodist Church.  Private interment followed.
Born in Lockwood, Mo., David's primary education was through the Owasso School System, graduating in 1965.
After several years in the secular world, David began his education for the ministry, receiving his appointment to the Avant Methodist Church in 1988.  He was also employed by Rose World Class Security of Tulsa, providing security services for PSO the past 12 years.  He was a member of the Sheriff and Peace Officers Association of Oklahoma and served with pride as captain of the Avant Auxiliary Police.
He is survived by his wife Earleen and two sons. Dusty of Collinsville and Jack of Catoosa; stepchildren. Cindy Reid, Medina, Ohio, and Micah Woodard, Tulsa; daughters-in-law, Julie and Nicki Reedy and Lori Woodard, and son-in-law, Bryan Reid; six grandchildren; brother, Dennis Reedy and sister Debi Evans, and a host of family and friends.



Thomas Reynolds - Owasso Reporter
Thomas C. Reynolds of Catoosa died May 9, 1998 at the age of 65. He was born Nov. 21, 1932 in Denver, Colo., to Bert and Frona (Compton) Reynolds.
He as a veteran of the armed forces having served his country with the U.S. Navy. Afterward he became a brakeman for the Burlington Northern Railroad.
Surviving family members include daughter, Diana Coe of Talala and Angela J. Morrison of Tulsa; sons, Timmy Tow of Tulsa and Gary Smith of Beggs; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brother Mike Reynolds of Littleton, Colo. Byrd of Englewood, Colo. Carol Horsley of Aurora, Colo. And Shirley Armstrong of Lawton, Okla. He was preceded in death by a brother Bert.
Funeral services were held May 11 at Mowery Chapel in Owasso. Officiating the service was Rev. James Bell of Oologah Assembly of God. Interment and committal services followed at Fairview Cemetery in Talala. Services and arrangements were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Services of Owasso.


Connie Ritchie Owasso Reporter -Sep 2 1999
Connie Lahoma Ritchie of Owasso passed away Aug. 27 1999 in Tulsa at the age of 79. She was born July 10, 1920 in Collinsville to Jams and Effie (Whisenhunt)Hollingsworth.
Connie graduated with and was the valedictorian of the Collinsville High School Class of 1937.She married Moe Ritchie on Aug 4, 1940.
She spent her working years as a bookkeeper and was also a sales representative for Avon. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Owasso.
Among many pastimes she enjoyed collecting antiques. She was known to have lived her life for others, but especially for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Joe of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny and Linda Ritchie of Broken Arrow and Bob and Nancy Ritchie of Nashville, Tenn.; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Nick DelGrosso of Owasso; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother an sister-in-law, John and Marchella Hollingsworth of Broken Arrow, sister, Freda Bollinger of Tulsa.
Funeral services were held Aug. 30 at the Baptist Retirement Center Chapel in Owasso. Officiating the service were Rev. Monroe Palmer and Rev. David Hall. Serving as escorts were Joe Bollinger, Jim Bollinger, Ray Brown, Jim Carpenter and Darold Ray Ritchie.
Committal services and interment followed at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville. Services and arrangements were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.



Roberta Roach - Tulsa World 9/27/99 Owasso Reporter Sep 22, 1999
ROACH ROBERTA JEAN- age 74, Owasso, OK, passed away Tuesday night, September 14, 1999 at Tulsa Regional Medical Center. She is survived by: her brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Routh and son, Doug, all of Tulsa; 2 sons, Bobby Roach of Joplin, MO and Tobin Roach of Grove, OK; daughter, Becky Pietila of Tulsa; and 7 grandchildren. Mrs. Roach was a native of Sapulpa, OK, born August 9, 1925. Was a long time resident of Owasso. Interment service will be Saturday, 10 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, OK. Service under the direction of Hinderliter-Woodard Funeral Service of Grove, OK.


James Roberson - Owasso Reporter Sept. 17, 1998
James John Roberson, 52, entered into rest Sep. 1, 1998. He was born mar 25 1946 in Tulsa to James and Mary McKinney Roberson.
He was an employee of Executive Taxi. He is survived by his brother, Jon Roberson, of Tulsa.
Private interment was at Bixby Cemetery Sept. 8 under the direction of Moore Funeral Home.


 


Donald Rogers - Owasso Reporter  June 10, 1999

Funeral services for Donald R. Rogers, 72, of Owasso, will be Friday, June 11 at Mowery Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulsa
The family will greet guests at Mowery Funeral Services this evening from 5:00 to 8:00. 
A beloved husband and father, Donald died June 8, 1999.  He was born April 14, 1927 in Stamps, Arkansas.
He graduated from Hope. Ark. High School and attended Pittsburg (Kans.) State College.  He was a veteran of WWII and the Korea Conflict.
He married Jo Ann Boren July 20, 1947, and had lived in the wasso/Tulsa area since 1955.
Don was employed by the Tulsa World for 23 years, served as secretary/treasurer of I.T.U., then retired from Penn Well Publishing Co.
Prior to his death he was employed as a greeter at Wal-Mart of Owasso.  For several years he was a Boy Scout leader and currently a member of   Victory Christian Center.
He i
s survived by his wife, Jo Ann' son, Larry Rogers; two daughter, Gail Rogers and Linda Holens, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean Butler of Hope. Ark.
Services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Services of Owasso.


  Donald Rogers - Tulsa World Jun 10, 1999
ROGERS-- Donald R., 72, of Owasso, beloved husband and father, died Tuesday, June 8, 1999. He was born April 14, 1927 at Stamps, AR. Don was a Veteran of WWII and Korean War. He was married to Jo Ann Boren, July 20, 1947. He had lived in the Tulsa/Owasso area since 1955. He graduated from Hope (AR) High School and attended Pittsburg State College in Pittsburg, KS. He was  employed at the Tulsa World for 23 years. He served as Secretary/Treasurer for ITU and later retired from PennWell Publishing Company. Prior to his death he was a greeter at Wal-Mart of Owasso. He was a Boy Scout Leader for several years. He currently was a member of the Victory Christian Center. Survived by: his wife, Jo Ann Rogers of the home; daughters, Gail Rogers, Claremore, Linda Rolens, Katy, TX; son, Larry Rogers, Skiatook; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-granddaughters; sister, Jean Butler, Hope, AR. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 11, 1999 at Mowery Chapel in Owasso. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park. Pauline Rutherford Tulsa World 7/17/98
RUTHERFORD-- Pauline, 80, of Owasso, died Thursday, July 16, 1998, in Tulsa. She was born December 29, 1917, in Winslow, AR. She was a graduate of Northeastern State University, receiving a degree in education. She began her teaching career in Tulsa in 1960. Pauline and husband, Everett were long time members of Immanuel Baptist Church, Tulsa, serving as librarian 41 years, along with library duties of Tulsa Baptist Association. After moving to the Baptist Retirement Center, Owasso, they became members of First Baptist Church, Owasso, and was a member of North Tulsa County Retired Teachers Association. She is survived by: her husband, Everett of the home; sister, Evelyn
Walsh of Mazie, OK; niece, Koni Lehrman of Broken Arrow; nephew, David Walsh of Ottawa, KS;and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents and 1 brother. Service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, Baptist Retirement Center Chapel, Owasso. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa. Mowery Funeral Service, Owasso, 918-ph 272-6244
