In 1906 Benten Boes gave the land to sue for a school site.  In 1909 a three story buff colored brick building was built.  Approximately 1919 the lower level basement was finished to accommodate additional activities due to consolidation.

Owasso District No. 14, became the largest consolidated district in America, encompassing 62 square miles, under the supervision of Mr. Boles.

A home economics class room, later known as the lunchroom was finished. The school had an outside basketball court, basement rooms were finished and made available for the girls and boys to change to their playing clothes.

This building served all classes from 1 through 12.

In 1947 a tornado destroyed the top floor of the old school building.  Removal of the top floor and repairs allowed the use of the building through the 1960's.  The building was declared unsafe and demolished in 1977.

A memorable feature of the building was the curved tubular fire escape from the second floor.  Frequent fire drills were looked forward to by the students.  It was also fun to crawl up from the ground and slide down.
